Single institution experience with a right-sided interrupted aortic arch.

متن کاملEndovascular Repair for Kommerell’s Diverticulum and Right-Sided Aortic Arch
A 74-year-old man with hoarseness was diagnosed with a right-sided aortic arch and Kommerell's diverticulum by computed tomography (CT). The diverticulum had a maximum diameter of 33 mm, and surgical intervention was chosen because of the possibility of rupture. A right common carotid to right subclavian artery bypass was constructed, stent-graft was placed after the branching of the right comm...
متن کاملInterrupted right aortic arch in DiGeorge syndrome.
The clinical and necropsy findings in four cases of interrupted right aortic arch and right descending aorta associated with DiGeorge syndrome (congenital absence or hypoplasia of the thymus and parathyroids) are described. All patients had a mirror image of type B interruption, namely a right aortic arch with reversed branching pattern and an interruption between the right common carotid and r...
متن کاملRight Sided Aortic Arch Resembling Asthma.
Exertional dyspnoea and shortness of breath at rest are common complaints in asthmatic patients. However, symptoms sometimes do not resolve under optimal medical treatment. In such cases infrequent causes of dyspnoea may be the underlying basis. We present a 38-year-old patient who suffered from shortness of breath not amenable to medical treatment for asthma for five years. In her medical hist...

We report a case of a 32-week-gestation male who presented initially with symptoms suggestive of an interrupted aortic arch. The absence of a VSD prompted further investigations, including a CT angiogram, which revealed that he had an extensive thrombus in his aorta. He underwent a successful aortic thrombectomy with arch repair on cardiopulmonary bypass support. In view of the extensive thromb...
